In the heart of the modern metropolis, Guot Garden, created by Ho Khue Architects (ALPES), stands as a healing oasis, reconnecting people with their primal bond to nature. Inspired by the embrace of a seashell and the rhythmic waves of the Lam River, the non-linear organic vaulted roof system undulates gracefully with the garden's topography, transforming architecture into a flow that continues the local landscape. The project's breakthrough lies in the modern steel frame engineering solution that supports the traditional Guot roof layer, creating a unique dialogue between the silvery-gray hues of the Guot and the raw, rustic concrete. With a "breathing" structure, the gaps in the vaulted system allow natural wind to circulate through the center for self-regulating climate control. Light filters through, reflecting off the polished concrete floor to create a tranquil space, rich in poetic quality and heritage depth.
